About Zack Pope

I started in the insurance industry in 2014. Before insurance, I was a biochemistry student belonging to the MLS FIG run by George Smith (Nobel prize winner) at Mizzou, during that time before having to withdraw because of medical issues I did an internship with Metta Sondergaard who was doing research on ovarian cancer detection in mice. Like most 20-year-olds at that time I had to find something to do for a living and my Dad had asked if I could help him with his business. I quickly grasped how the industry operated realizing that we should draw our circle further out to grow the business. The biggest spark for growth for us was when Progressive selected us as one of the first 50 agencies in the state to sell their new home insurance product. I actually sold the first ASI/ Progressive home policy in the state. Many other brokers who have been in business for a longer time period work existing contracts and did not give “new” companies a fair shake. This gave us a leg up with my focus on being ethically focused on giving clients the best rate regardless of company compensation. Within 5 years of being in the industry, I was able to meet with the CEO and COO of Progressive as at that time we were in the top 15 agencies for bundled home and auto policies for them. Now I strive to keep growing but also enlightening others on the ins and outs of the insurance industry. My primary role now for the agency is company outreach at this point and I am always open to new ideas and concepts to help the agency provide the best coverage and information to anyone seeking it.
